Birth and fresh newborn photos are included with every doula package.

In addition to the full doula services provided, Heather provides high-quality professional photography services. Your “Birth Story” will be documented by your doula through words and images.  Every special occasion deserves to be captured and remembered, and birth is no exception. All photography preferences are discussed and agreed upon before birth. Extra Photography packages are listed below.

Full Doula Services
  • Free initial consultation
  • Minimum 2 prenatal visits in your home or by video call (approximately 3-5 hours)
  • Continuous support during labour, birth and for 1-2 hrs postpartum
  • Minimum of 1 postnatal visit
  • Unlimited phone and e-mail contact throughout pregnancy and initial postpartum period
  • Access to lending library
  • Use of a Birth Pool (additional fee for liner/transportation cost may apply)
  • Access to TENS machine and other comfort tools for labour
  • Written Birth Story Keepsake (digital and print copy)
  • Birth Photography (up to 20 digital images, with basic touch up/ editing.  No minimum number of images are guaranteed with the doula package)
  • Back-up doula available
  • 24/7 on call availability for labour support

BIRTH DOULA & PHOTOGRAPHY PACKAGES

Doula Support & Photography Base Package | $1000

  • Full doula support and photos taken where possible.
  • Receive up to 20 images of labour, birth, immediate postpartum (Fresh newborn photos)  Includes only basic touch up/ editing.  No minimum number of images are guaranteed.
  • Images will be edited and provided to you on a USB, in high resolution for printing and low-resolution for online sharing
  • ADD Photo slide show for $50.00  Additional editing requested by the client is also available for a fee.
Doula Support & Enhanced Photography Package | $1600
  • Full doula support and full Birth Photographer package.
  • Receive minimum 75 images of labour, birth, immediate postpartum (Fresh newborn photos).
  • Images will be edited and provided to you on a USB, in high resolution for printing and low-resolution for online sharing
  • Photographic birth story slide show
  • Custom hardcover 5″ x 7″ Brag book with minimum 20 pages.
  • Two 8″ x 10″ prints of your choice

PHOTOGRAPHY ONLY PACKAGES

Birth Photography Package | $1300
  • Photographer will join you in active labour (min 5cm dilation) at your birthplace.
  • Photos will be taken throughout labour, birth and immediate postpartum.  This includes “fresh” newborn photos at your birthplace.
  • This includes photographer on call 2 weeks prior to your due date.
  • Minimum 100 images, edited
  • Images will be edited and provided to you on a USB, in high resolution for printing and low-resolution for online sharing
  • Photographic birth story slide show
  • Custom hardcover 5″ x 7″ Brag book with minimum 20 images
  • One 8″ x 10″ print
Fresh Newborn Session | $450
  • I attend your birthplace or home within 48 hours of birth and capture your little one and new family.
  • Receive minimum 30 images
  • Images will be edited and provided to you on a USB, in high resolution for printing and low-resolution for online sharing
Newborn Session | $450
  • *$50 Discount if you have also purchased the Birth or doula packages
  • I will attend your home and do a lifestyle photo session with your newborn.  This will include some more traditional “newborn portraits”, and family images.  We book this session within the first 2 weeks of birth
  • Minimum 30 images
  • Images will be edited and provided to you on a USB, in high resolution for printing and low-resolution for online sharing
Child or Family Portrait Session | $350
  • 1 hour session at a location of your choice (indoor or outdoor), we will customize a session to meet your goals.  This may include individual child, siblings, or family photos.
  • Receive minimum 30 images
  • Images will be edited and provided to you on a USB, in high resolution for printing and low-resolution for online sharing

CHILDBIRTH EDUCATION PACKAGES

Private Prenatal Education | $200
  • For families that do not require labour support (birth doula) but would like personalized  education, instruction and hands on support to prepare for birth and the postpartum period.
  • 5 hours of instructions Virtual or in the client’s home.
  • Topics covered: Anatomy and Physiology of birth, Comfort Measures for Birth, Birth Preference Planning, Postpartum recovery and adjustment, Newborn care
  • Offered in person or through video call
Group Prenatal Education Series | $200
  • 4 week group prenatal education series (8 hours classroom time)
  • Located at a community midwifery office
  • Topics include: Anatomy and Physiology of Birth, Comfort Measure for Labour and Birth, Postpartum and Baby Care, Breastfeeding and Baby-wearing

Private Breastfeeding Education | $300
  • 1 hour prenatally in the client’s home (before baby is born)
  • 1-2 hour of in home support within 1 week of baby’s birth
  • Phone consultation and support for breastfeeding
